Choose your overlocker thread
Each colour selection supplies one cone. For a four-thread stitch using the same thread throughout, choose four matching cones. A three-thread stitch uses three thread paths; other stitches may need a different setup.
About the refill buttons: each starts a cart with four cones of the named colour and can replace an existing basket. Use “Choose colour & quantity” to keep shopping into your current basket or order another amount. Current prices and availability are confirmed in the store and cart.

1000m · textured polyester looper thread. Its fluffy texture adds fuller coverage and a soft finish to suitable stretchwear, lingerie and decorative edges.
Choose it for the looper paths allowed by your machine. Smooth construction thread such as Aerolock can be used in the needle paths where specified. Follow the threading method and settings in your manual.

HA×1 SP or EL×705? Check your manual.
“Overlocker needle” is not one universal fitting. Match the complete system, point and finish required by your exact model, then choose a size for the fabric and thread. HA1SP and EL705 are common search terms; look for the full designation on the packet.

SCHMETZ Super Stretch. A medium ballpoint with an enlarged eye. Choose 75/11 or 90/14 where your overlocker specifies a compatible HA×1 SP needle.

80/12 · five-pack. SUK means medium ballpoint and CF means chrome finish. For suitable knit fabrics on machines specified for this needle type.

If your manual calls for 130/705 H, 2053, DC×1 or another system, browse the full needle range or send us the exact model. Do not substitute HA×1 SP and EL×705 solely because both have flat shanks.

How many thread cones do I need?
Count the thread paths used by your chosen stitch. A common four-thread overlock uses two needle threads and two looper threads; three-thread overlocking uses three paths. Check your manual for coverstitch, chainstitch and other combinations. You can buy individual cones or use a four-cone refill button above.
Are Aerolock and Aeroflock interchangeable?
They have different constructions and jobs. Aerolock is a smooth core-spun construction thread. Aeroflock is a fluffy textured polyester thread for suitable looper applications, softer finishes and decorative coverage. Use the thread type and position permitted by your machine, then test the complete seam on an offcut.
Which Astra should I choose for everyday overlocking?
This hub features Astra 120 and EcoVerde Astra 120 in 5000m cones. Heavier Astra topstitch threads serve different purposes and should not be substituted just because the brand name matches. Check thread size, cone support and the seam you are making.
Can I use EL×705 instead of HA×1 SP?
Only use a substitution explicitly supported by your machine manufacturer. The system identifies more than needle size: needle geometry and thread grooves differ. Match the complete designation in the manual, including any point or finish suffix, and select a suitable size.
Will these cones fit a domestic overlocker?
Check cone dimensions, spool holders and the thread stand on your exact machine. A cone must sit securely and unwind freely along the prescribed thread path. Larger 5000m cones can need a different support arrangement. Use only accessories and threading methods permitted by the manual.
Why am I getting skipped stitches or broken thread?
Check for a bent or worn needle, confirm the correct system, and rethread in the order shown in your manual. Test needle size, thread, tension and fabric layers together. If the problem continues, request a machine service rather than repeatedly changing to an unverified needle system.
