All products rendered by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies are subject to Terms and Conditions.

Apparel Equipment Services and Supplies has joined forces with Direct sewing machines to become Direct Sewing Machines and Supplies 

Currency: All items are listed in New Zealand Dollars

Items Listed: Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies may revise or discontinue Products at any time without notice.

Freight: if you purchase more than one item please ask for the correct freight amount to pay.

Stock Levels: Please confirm stock levels before auctions close if you are purchasing a good with value exceeding $500 as we also retail through other channels and stock is often low. In the unfortunate event that this happens we will contact you immediately after auction closes.

Misinterpretation: If you are uncertain as to whether an item will suitable for your needs or type of usage, please contact us before purchasing (this is best done by using the question function). It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure the item they purchase will suit their needs.

Needles: If you have purchased needles please insure you have advised which sizes you require after purchase if you do not Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies will send either a mixture or what we think is best suited for the normal user.

Tax/GST Invoices: We are GST registered GST and invoices are provided on request.

Payment: You will be sent an email soon after the auction expires with payment details and instructions.It may take up to 3 days for Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies to see your payment in our bank account due to bank clearance times.Unless credit conditions have been specifically prearranged by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies payment for the products shall be made in full before physical delivery of products.The item reference number must be included in your deposit details if sending a cheque please include a note stating this. In order for the customer’s payment to be recognised this criterion has to be met. Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies do not take any liability for delay in shipment due to this criterion not being met.

Refund: If you wish to cancel your order please e-mail us at info@apparelequipment.co.nz at your earliest convenience. If your order has been shipped you are responsible for shipping the goods back to us and the goods must be in the same packaging and condition as it was sent it. A store credit will be issued for the original product amount, less any freight.

Refunds can be credited on a case by case basis against your original method of payment, e.g. to the credit card you used to make the purchase. A restocking fee of 12% applies should a refund be given using this method.

Credit Card Payments: Your statement will show "Apparel Equipment" as a reference for your purchase.

Delivery: Unless free shipping is stated customer shall pay for all shipping and handling charges. Standard Delivery is 1-3 Business Days from when payment has been received. If there is any delay you will be notified by e-mail once we have sighted your order and will offer a refund if there is a lengthy delay. Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies may at its discretion, deliver the products by installments in any sequence e.g. steam press and then steam press stand. This is due to Courier tickets used. Where multiple auction are won delivery by installments apply since, each installment shall be deemed to be the subject of a separate contract. Any dates quoted by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies for the delivery of the products are approximates only gathered from courier company used and shall not form part of the Contract. Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies shall not be liable for any delay in delivery of the products howsoever caused. Unless the customer notifies Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies differently on the day of delivery (this notification must be confirmed in writing within two days) the Products will be deemed to have been accepted by the customer as being in good condition and in accordance with the Contract.

Faulty Goods: Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories’ auctions are subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. New products purchased under these Terms and Conditions directly from Direct Sewing Machines, Parts, and Accessories by an end-user customer may be returned by customer up to fourteen (14) days from the date of shipment for a replacement. In the event that goods have a fault, we will repair the faults. If this is not possible, we will replace the goods and only in the case that we cannot get a replacement, will the customer be given a refund. Refunds will only be given if goods are sent back with original packing.

Warranty: The same process as faulty goods claims applies to warranty claims i.e. order of repair/replace/refund. The warranty period begins on the date goods are received. The Warranty provided by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies does not cover damage, fault, failure or malfunction due to external causes, including accident, abuse, misuse, courier, problems with electrical power, servicing not authorized by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies, usage and/or storage and/or installation not in accordance with Product instructions, normal wear and tear, act of God, fire, flood, war, act of violence or any similar occurrence; any attempt by any person other than Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies personnel or any person authorised by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies, to adjust, repair or support the products supplied by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies. Any service response times stated by Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies in the service contracts are approximate only and Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from its failure to meet such response times, howsoever occasioned.

Warranty on all machinery is non transferable between customers for items exceeding a value of $3000 excl. GST. 

Troubleshooting: Direct Sewing Machines & Supplies will provide general advice and technical assistance to Customer in accordance with the then-current service and technical support policies in effect. Service and support offerings may vary from product to product.

Emails: All emails sent to us must have your order reference number in the subject line for it to be recognised.

Lay-by: We offer lay-by on most of our goods and we only require you have a 20% deposit (non-refundable) but please ask for conformation before you place an order.

If Colour is of importance to you please confirm colour before purchasing as colour of actual unit may differ from colour in picture.

We will not refund money if you change your mind or if the item was not what you had imagined it would be. All terms and conditions detailed are subject to change.
