The correct overlocker system comes first
Singer 2022 needles use the ELx705 format for compatible overlockers, with a regular point suited to woven fabrics. Choose a five-pack in NM 80, NM 90 or assorted sizes. Matching the needle system is the first step; then choose the size for the fabric and thread used in your overlocked seam.
The assortment contains two NM 80, two NM 90 and one NM 100 needle; single-size options contain five matching needles.

Before you start
- Check the exact model manual for style 2022 / ELx705 and select the appropriate needle size.
- Disconnect power, then fit the required needles to their correct positions and insertion depths.
- Rethread in the prescribed order and test the stitch on matching fabric layers before sewing the project.
Singer overlockers do not all use the same needle. Style 2022 is not a substitute for an older model that specifies style 2053.

Can I choose only by the Singer brand?
No. Verify the needle number in the manual; size alone does not identify the system.
