The right oil. A precise oiler. A cleaner machine.

Shop sewing machine oils, refillable applicators and cleaning tools in New Zealand. Match the lubricant to your machine first, then choose an oiler that reaches its approved maintenance points.

Does your machine need user oiling? Follow the exact model’s manual. Some machines are factory-lubricated and must not be user-oiled. If yours gives no oiling procedure, ask us with the model number before adding lubricant.

01 · Match the lubricant first

Choose a bottle for your sewing setup

Brand names and bottle sizes do not establish compatibility. Check the required oil designation, grade and application points before buying.

Industrial and specialist oil choices

Find the oil named in your manual. Products with different specifications are separate choices, even when they are sold for similar machines.

Oil What to check
JUKI Oil 7 · 450ml For machines specifying JUKI Oil 7. JUKI identifies it as equivalent to ISO VG7 for the DDL-7000A series. Check your full model and suffix.
JUKI Defrix No. 2 The listing specifies ISO VG32. Select where Defrix No. 2 is called for; do not assume every walking-foot machine uses it.
Embroidery oil · 1L The listing specifies mineral-based ISO 32 oil. Confirm both the lubricant and oiling points for your embroidery model.
General-purpose oil · 1L & 5L Choose a size after confirming the current oil specification against your equipment manual. “General-purpose” does not mean universal compatibility.
HD46 synthetic oil · 500ml For specified carpet-overlocker and bag-closer applications. Confirm the exact oil requirement rather than choosing by machine category alone.
Odif LB5 · 50ml A precision lubricant spray with an extension tube. Use only where your machine permits this product and delivery method; follow the can’s handling directions.

Reference: JUKI DDL-7000A oil specification. Matching viscosity alone does not establish that two oils are interchangeable. The full range stays visible; check current availability on each listing.

Occasional home care

Where SINGER oil is permitted, choose a small bottle, a brush and an applicator if the existing nozzle cannot reach the approved point.

Oil and oiler questions

Can I use any sewing machine oil in my machine?

No. Match the exact lubricant specification and model instructions. Oil 7, ISO 32 and specialist oils are not interchangeable simply because all appear in a sewing shop. Some components need grease instead, and some machines require no user-applied lubricant.

Should I buy 100ml, 1 litre or 5 litres?

First choose an approved oil. Then choose a volume that fits your maintenance frequency, number of machines and the product’s storage guidance. A bigger bottle is useful only when it contains the right lubricant.

How much oil should I apply?

Use the amount and intervals in the manual. A drop point and an industrial reservoir have different instructions. Switch off and unplug as directed, remove lint, apply at the specified points, wipe accessible excess, reassemble and test on scrap.

Is Odif LB5 a cleaning spray?

No. LB5 is a lubricant. Remove lint using an approved cleaning method first. Do not spray generally into the machine or onto electrical parts; use it only where the machine permits it and follow the can’s safety directions.

Will oil fix a noisy or stiff machine?

Noise or stiffness can have several causes. Stop if the machine is not running normally, consult the manual and request an assessment if needed. Adding more oil is not a substitute for identifying the fault.
