Schmetz ELx705 SUK CF needles combine the ELx705 system with a medium ballpoint and chrome finish. Available in sizes 80/12 and 90/14, they are intended for suitable knitted fabrics on overlockers and coverstitch machines specified for this needle type. The pack contains five needles for replacing or replenishing your setup.

Sweatshirt fabrics
Use on a compatible machine for suitable knitted sweatshirt materials. Check bulky seam intersections as well as a flat sample when establishing the needle and thread combination.
Coverstitched hems
For knit hems on machines specifying the ELx705 family and appropriate point. The second thread groove is part of the specialised overlock and coverstitch needle design.

Before you start
- Check your manual for the required ELx705 designation and confirm that your selected size suits the thread and material.
- Switch off the machine, fit the needle fully in the correct orientation, and re-thread as instructed.
- Sew a sample through the finished hem or seam layers. Inspect for clean stitch formation and yarn damage.
The SUK point does not make this a general-purpose stretch needle for an ordinary household lockstitch machine.
