A cutting point for leather rather than fabric yarns
Singer 2032 Leather needles use a cutting point to penetrate leather and suitable non-woven imitation leather or suede. The five-pack combines sizes 90/14 and 100/16 for matching different material and thread combinations. They are a specialised choice for appropriate leather sewing, not a general needle for woven bag linings or knitted fabric.

Suede and imitation leather
Check the material's construction first. A woven or knitted backing may call for a different needle than a non-woven leather-like material.
Visible leather seams
Plan seam placement carefully and test the stitch length. Needle holes in leather are permanent, so unpicking does not restore an unmarked surface.

Before you start
- Confirm machine compatibility and select a size for the material, thread and number of layers.
- Install the needle safely and stitch an offcut with the same layered construction as the project.
- Check hole size, stitch spacing and feeding, then sew without forcing bulky joins or pulling the material.
Do not use a leather cutting point on ordinary woven or knitted fabric: it can cut the yarns and weaken the seam.
Good to know
Are these suitable for a cotton bag lining?
No. Use an appropriate woven-fabric needle for the lining and change needles when the material changes.
Will they make any machine sew thick leather?
No. The machine's material and needle-size limits still apply.
