Janome Topstitch needles have an extra-large eye, a large groove and a sharp point to help suitable heavier topstitching thread travel through the fabric. This pack includes sizes 11 and 14. Choose between them according to the fabric and thread together, then test the finish before sewing visible seams on your project.

Decorative thread work
Use a thread that passes freely through the eye and suits your machine. An oversized eye still has practical limits.

Before you start
- Check your machine's needle requirements, then select size 11 or 14 for the fabric and thread combination.
- Fit a fresh needle safely and thread the machine as its manual directs for the chosen thread.
- Test tension and stitch length on scraps; inspect the underside as well as the visible topstitching.
A topstitch needle is not automatically a heavy-duty needle. Fabric penetration, thread handling and the machine's capacity still need to be matched.
Good to know
Does the pack contain size 16?
No. It contains two size 11 needles and three size 14 needles.
Must I use heavy thread in the bobbin too?
Not necessarily. Follow your machine and thread guidance, and test the balance rather than assuming both threads must match in weight.
