A rounded point to work between knitted yarns
Singer 2045 Knit Fabric needles have a rounded ball point designed to pass between knitted yarns, helping reduce fibre damage and skipped stitches. Choose the single-size NM 90 pack or the finer NM 70/80 assortment. Match the needle to the knit and thread, then use a stitch that provides the stretch your seam needs.
The assortment contains three NM 70 and two NM 80 needles; the other five-pack option is NM 90.

Fine knit sewing
The NM 70/80 assortment offers smaller sizes for finer work. Match the thread as well as the fabric weight.
Firmer knitted fabrics
NM 90 can suit heavier work when the fabric and thread call for it. Confirm with a sample.

Before you start
- Check your machine's needle requirements and choose the size for the knit and thread.
- Install the needle safely, then select the stitch and fabric-handling settings appropriate to the project.
- Test without pulling the knit, checking stitch formation and the seam's stretch before sewing the garment.
A ball-point needle does not make a straight seam elastic by itself. Stitch selection, thread and fabric handling all affect the finished seam.
Good to know
Does this assortment contain NM 90?
No. The pictured 847R assortment contains three NM 70 and two NM 80 needles; NM 90 is a separate option.
Are these overlocker needles?
Use them only if the overlocker manual specifies a compatible system; some require specialised needles such as ELx705.
