Spacing and needle size are different
Twin-needle spacing is the gap between the needles in millimetres; needle size describes their thickness. For example, 2.5/75 means 2.5mm spacing with size 75 needles. Choose the spacing permitted by your machine and a universal or stretch type suited to the fabric.
Check your machine’s twin-needle instructions
Use twin needles only where your machine manual approves them. Confirm zigzag capability, the allowed needle spacing, suitable foot and plate openings, threading and stitch settings. Activate twin mode if specified. These shared-shank needles are separate from the individual needles used in overlockers and coverstitch machines.
