Explore Mirsew sewing, fabric cutting and fusing machines in New Zealand. Compare compound-feed walking foot machines for suitable leather, upholstery and canvas work, cordless round-knife cutters, and a conveyor press for fusible interlining.

Choosing a Mirsew machine for your workroom

Choose the bed and functions: The 335 cylinder-arm machine includes a flatbed insert for supporting flat pieces. Compare it with the flat-bed walking foot models, checking bobbin access, stitch length and the supplied table and drive. Automatic thread trimming, backtacking and foot lift are stated for the MS0617B-7C; do not assume every Mirsew model has them.

Test the complete seam: Compound feed helps move suitable layers together, but material density, coatings, thread and needle all affect the result. Presser-foot lift is positioning clearance, not a guaranteed sewing thickness. Match the exact needle system and check the full layered seam before production.

Cutting machines do a different job: Compare the cordless round-knife cutters by blade diameter, stated cutting capacity, supplied batteries and charger. Actual cutting performance depends on the material and layers. Follow the machine’s guard and operating instructions, and remove the battery before blade work.

Fusing is for the interlining bond: The MS-450MS conveyor press has a 450mm belt width and a rotary strip-off device. Match the fabric and fusible supplier’s processing conditions, then test the bond. Confirm the electrical connection, workspace, stand and support-table inclusions for the quoted package; a fusing press is a different process from steam ironing.
