Match the yarn to the project: DMC’s range includes cotton yarns, merino and merino-blend yarns, and Lumina metallic knitting and crochet yarn. Compare fibre content, yarn weight, metres per ball and care instructions with your pattern; make a tension sample before substituting yarn.
Choose the right kit: Knitting, amigurumi, punch needle, felt sewing and cross-stitch kits use different techniques. Check the stated skill level, age guidance and exact contents rather than assuming every kit includes the same tools. Some amigurumi projects need shaping and assembly experience.
