An extra-heavy transparent film that can be hooped without a base fabric for suitable embroidery designs. Create patches, emblems and thread work with support that dissolves in warm water.
Each 25cm-wide roll contains 5m of extra-heavy clear film.

Check the roll width against the area you need to cover, including enough material for secure hooping where required.
How to use it
- Hoop Ultra Solvy firmly. For freestanding work, choose a design digitised for stitching without base fabric.
- Embroider, then carefully cut away excess film without cutting the stitches.
- Soak and rinse out the remaining film following the pack directions. Use washable thread and materials, then dry the work as appropriate.
Ultra Solvy is substantially heavier than standard Solvy topping. The design itself must be suitable for freestanding embroidery; removing the film will not make an ordinary design hold together.

How do I dissolve it?
Sulky advises soaking in warm water at about 30°C for 10–20 minutes, then rinsing repeatedly. Check that all project materials tolerate this treatment.
Which Solvy should I choose for towels?
Standard lightweight Solvy is a practical topping for towelling and fleece. Choose Ultra Solvy when the technique calls for a much heavier film.
