A clear, lightweight film placed on top of towels, fleece and other piled fabrics to help stop stitches sinking into the surface. Remove the excess and rinse away the remainder after sewing.

Check the roll width against the area you need to cover, including enough material for secure hooping where required.
How to use it
- Place Solvy over the top of the fabric. Use the appropriate backing underneath for your fabric and design.
- Secure the layers as required and embroider. Test the combination before stitching the finished project.
- Carefully remove excess film, then rinse out the remainder according to the pack directions. Cold water dissolves it; warm water works faster where suitable.
A topping and a backing do different jobs. Solvy on top does not automatically replace the supporting stabiliser beneath the fabric. For designs stitched without base fabric, consider extra-heavy Ultra Solvy.

Can I use it on towels?
Yes. Use it as a topping to keep the embroidery above the loops, with an appropriate backing beneath the towel.
Is it self-adhesive or printable paper?
No. This listing is for clear Solvy film, not Sticky Fabri-Solvy or Paper Solvy.
