Schmetz Embroidery needles combine an extra-wide eye and wide thread groove with a medium ball point for decorative stitching and machine embroidery. The added thread space helps handle suitable embroidery and effect threads gently. Choose a size for the fabric, backing and thread together, whether you are stitching a small motif or a larger design.

Choose a single-size or Assorted pack. One pack is supplied per selection.
Before you start
- Confirm your machine's needle requirements and choose a size for the thread and complete fabric setup.
- Switch off, fit a fresh needle and thread the machine according to its instructions.
- Test a small design and inspect both the thread and underside before continuing.
Choose 75/11 for suitable finer work or 90/14 where the material and thread need a larger needle. The design's density matters alongside fabric thickness.

Is H-E a general-purpose Universal needle?
It is an embroidery-specific type with a wider eye and groove, rather than the ordinary Universal 130/705 H.
Should I choose Gold Embroidery instead?
The Gold version adds titanium-nitride wear protection, which can be useful for stitch-intensive embroidery and more demanding materials.
