Madeira Super Stretch needles are designed for highly elastic materials, including suitable Lycra fabrics and coarser knits. A medium ball point, widened eye area and specialised scarf help support stitch formation in challenging stretch work. This five-pack combines sizes 75/11 and 90/14 so you can match the needle to your fabric and thread.

Skipped-stitch troubleshooting
A stretch-specific needle may help when an ordinary needle struggles. Also check threading, presser-foot pressure and the fabric handling recommended by your machine.

Before you start
- Confirm machine compatibility and select 75/11 or 90/14 for the fabric weight and thread.
- Fit a fresh needle safely, then select a stitch suitable for the amount of stretch the seam needs.
- Test on matching layers without pulling the fabric, checking for skipped stitches, waviness and damaged yarns.
The needle alone does not make a seam elastic. Stitch choice, thread and fabric handling must also suit the stretch required by the finished garment.

Is this the same as an ELx705 overlock needle?
No. Match your machine's required system; a stretch point does not make different needle formats interchangeable.
Can I use it for every knit?
Test first. Knit construction and elasticity vary, and another size or ball-point type may suit a particular fabric better.
