Pre-cut support for cap embroidery.
Prepare baseball-cap embroidery with backing already cut to size. Madeira Cap Squares provide firm tear-away support behind the stitching, in a rectangular format made for positioning inside the cap before hooping.
The pack contains 250 white pieces, each 10cm x 30cm. These are pre-cut sheets, not a continuous roll or a mixed-size assortment.

Where it works best
Repeat preparation
Keep a consistent sheet size ready for repeat embroidery jobs. Check that the piece covers the design and reaches the frame’s required gripping points.
Testing cap designs
Use a sample cap of the same construction to check backing placement, hooping and the design’s stitch sequence before starting the final item.

How to use it
- Select a sheet and position it inside the cap behind the area to be embroidered. Follow your machine and cap-frame instructions for loading and alignment.
- Secure the cap and backing without loose material in the stitching path. Run a test with the intended design, thread and cap construction.
- After embroidery, remove the cap from the frame and gently tear away excess backing while supporting the stitches. Do not pull against the finished design.
Cap backing does not make every cap compatible with every machine. Check your machine’s cap attachment, embroidery clearance and the cap’s construction before selecting a design.

Are the pieces square?
Despite the product name, each pre-cut piece is rectangular: 10cm wide by 30cm long. The pack contains 250 pieces of that size.
Can I use these for stretchy beanies?
They are specified for baseball-cap embroidery. A stretchy knitted beanie may need a different backing that provides lasting support; assess the fabric and test first.
