01 · Cover or reinforce a worn area
An iron-on option
Polyester mending patches for suitable medium- and heavyweight materials. The pack contains four black, three grey and two white patches.
Check that the garment tolerates the required heat. Follow the pack’s dry-heat, time and pressure instructions and test an inconspicuous area first.

For denim-coloured repairs
A two-tone jeans thread for darning and decorative work by hand or machine. Choose the closer shade for your fabric; colour blending depends on the denim.

02 · Shorten and restitch
Choose the size, not just the name
Five needles in your selected size. Match the 130/705 H-J system, thread and complete thickness of the folded hem to your machine.
The larger sizes are not a shortcut around a machine’s fabric or thread limits.

03 · Restore the closure
A fixed waistband button goes through a buttonhole. A press stud snaps open and shut. Choose the fastening your garment actually needs.

Six button sets per pack. Check the 16mm diameter against your buttonhole and follow the pack’s fitting method.

04 · Blend the repair or show the stitch
For a less visible repair, start by matching colour and the original seam. For bold topstitching, check that the machine accepts the heavier thread and required needle.
Bold stitching · 300m spool
Heavy Ticket 30 / Tex 105 thread for compatible denim seams and prominent topstitching. The listing specifies a minimum 110/18 needle.
A domestic-sized spool does not establish machine compatibility. Check the thread capacity before choosing.
Choose Saba 30 colour
Regular workshop use · 2000m cone
Ticket 30 / Tex 80 thread for defined topstitching and compatible garment work. Its listed metric 110–130 needle range exceeds some domestic machines’ limits.
A suitable cone stand may be needed. Saba 30 and Astra 30 have different Tex sizes despite sharing the ticket number.
Needle, top thread and bobbin thread work together. Follow your machine’s guidance and test balanced stitches. Do not automatically use heavy topstitching thread in the bobbin.

A mechanical sewing machine for suitable garment making, alterations and everyday projects. Compare its features and material limits before choosing it for your denim work.
Test representative layers where possible. A “heavy duty” label does not guarantee that any thread or thickness will sew.
Explore the SINGER 4423For faded denim, compare dye options by fibre content and care instructions. Dye can change the colour but cannot repair worn fibres, and synthetic stitching may keep its original shade.
Start with the fault: a patch and suitable thread for a worn area, a replacement waistband button for a missing button, or matching studs and tools for a snap closure. Machine stitching also needs a compatible needle and a tested setup. The items here are sold separately unless described as a set.
Some repairs use hand stitching, a suitable iron-on patch or a replacement fastening. Choose a method appropriate to the damaged area and follow the product instructions. An iron-on patch is only suitable if the garment tolerates the required heat.
Match the intended seam appearance and your machine’s thread capacity. Denim-coloured repair thread and heavy contrast topstitching thread serve different finishes. Check the thread’s recommended needle and test across the actual folded seam.
No. The 16mm buttons featured here work with a buttonhole. The 15mm studs are press snaps and use the matching Hemline 406 fitting tool. Check the fastening style, diameter and tool system before ordering.
No. Needle size does not increase the machine’s capacity. Check the full stack at seam crossings, choose thread and needle sizes the machine supports, and stop if it struggles to feed or penetrate.
