Colour: White - 0001
Sulky Tender Touch · Iron-on embroidery comfort backing

A softer finish against the skin.

Cover the reverse of embroidery with a soft, lightweight fusible layer. Tender Touch helps separate skin from scratchy stitches while keeping the garment flexible.

Cut the 25cm-wide roll to cover individual embroidered areas or suitable interfacing pieces.

Choose white or black using the colour selector above. Each selection is for one roll, not a mixed pack.

Check the roll width against the area you need to cover, including enough material for secure hooping where required.

How to use it

  1. Finish the embroidery and remove or trim its original stabiliser as appropriate for the design.
  2. Cut Tender Touch to cover the stitched area, allowing a margin beyond its edges. Check which side is adhesive.
  3. Fuse to the inside of the garment using the pack’s pressing instructions. Test heat compatibility first and allow it to cool before handling.

Tender Touch is principally a finishing layer or soft interfacing. Covering completed stitches does not replace the embroidery backing needed to support the design while it is being sewn.

Good to know

Do I apply it before or after embroidery?

For covering scratchy stitches, apply it to the back after the embroidery is finished. Its use as an interfacing is a separate application.

Does it tear or wash away?

No. It is intended to stay bonded to the garment. Follow the pack’s application and care directions.
