Schmetz UY128 GAS SES needles are light-ballpoint needles for compatible industrial coverseam machines. The SES point is a useful choice for suitable fine to medium knitted fabrics, with size selected to match the thread and seam layers. Choose 70/10, 80/12 or 90/14 in a pack of ten.

Coverseam construction
For compatible multi-row coverseam operations where the SES point suits the fabric. Inspect each row for missed stitches and damage around the needle penetration.
Changing knit structures
Jersey weight, stretch and yarn structure can change the needle requirement. Select among the three sizes for the actual thread and fabric, then compare sample results.

Before you start
- Confirm UY128 GAS in the machine instructions and choose the size that suits the specified thread and material.
- Switch off and install the needles as directed, checking orientation and seating at each working needle position.
- Test the complete seam. Inspect both sides and assess the finished seam’s behaviour on the actual garment fabric.
These selections are SES ballpoint only. UY128 GAS is not automatically interchangeable with UY113 GS, UY154 GAS or domestic ELx705.
Good to know
Is SES the same as SUK?
No. SES is a light ballpoint; SUK is a more rounded medium ballpoint. Choose according to the fabric and machine requirements.
Is a Sharp option included?
