Keep a compatible vintage Singer sewing with the needle system it was designed to use. Schmetz 206x13 is a specialist flat-shank needle, also identified as SY 2029 or HPx13. Choose the listed size for your fabric and thread, and confirm 206x13 in your machine's instructions before fitting.
Choose size 80/12 or 90/14; both options use the 206x13 system.

Before you start
- Check your machine manual for system 206x13 and confirm the size is suitable for the intended sewing.
- Turn off the machine and follow its directions for needle insertion, orientation and threading.
- Make a slow sample seam on matching fabric; stop if the needle touches any machine part.
A flat shank does not make this interchangeable with ordinary 130/705 H needles. Do not substitute systems by appearance or size alone.

Will these fit every Singer sewing machine?
No. These are for machines requiring 206x13, not the standard needle system used by many other Singer models.
What is the difference between the two sizes?
90/14 is thicker than 80/12. Choose according to the fabric, thread and machine's recommended size range.
