SET A · HIBISCUS, FLOWER & LEAF
Give your quilt blocks a floral finish.
Plan a graceful stitched design before you take your block to the machine. Pauline’s Quilters World QAYG Templates Set A brings together three clear flower and leaf templates, so you can position repeatable shapes without drawing every petal freehand.

See your fabric and existing marks as you arrange the design.
Combine a central bloom with leaves, or repeat a motif across several blocks.
Rotate and combine the shapes to suit the space you want to quilt.

A small set with room to experiment
Start with a single flower centred on a block, then try a leaf arrangement around it. Sketch the layout on paper first to decide how much open space to leave.
The 4½-inch flower template has two rows of points and rotation reference holes. Following the guide, you can use these to create different flower sizes and five- or six-point arrangements.
Mark first, then stitch
Use a suitable fine fabric-marking pencil to trace the design, testing removal on a scrap first. Remove the template before stitching. Pauline’s approach can be worked with the feed dogs up; practise on a small quilt sandwich and use the foot and settings appropriate to your machine and method.

How Pauline uses Set A
Before you choose
Is this the same as a ruler-work guide?
These are templates for planning and tracing quilting designs. Do not use them as machine-foot guides unless the manufacturer’s instructions specifically permit that use.
Does the pack contain a quilt pattern?
No. It contains the three clear templates. Use them with your own project or a separately purchased Quilt As You Go pattern.
