Kit to stitch yourself: The Red Fuji Bookmark.

A counted project

Follow the chart and count the fabric squares to build the design. This is a kit to stitch yourself, rather than a finished picture.

Cotton colour and detail

DMC Mouliné thread gives the design its colour. Separate the strands and use the number specified in the included chart.

A thoughtful handmade finish

Enjoy the stitching process, then display the finished work or give it to someone who shares your love of books.

  • 15.1m of Mouliné Spécial cotton on an organiser

Make a confident start

  1. Read the full chart and instructions before starting. Sort the threads using the kit colour key.
  2. Find the fabric centre and begin where the chart directs. Keep the top stitches facing the same way.
  3. Finish according to the kit instructions. Check the fabric and thread care guidance before washing or pressing.

This is the bookmark kit, not the larger framed-picture version. Backing cards are included; scissors are sold separately.

Useful to know

Is the design printed on the fabric?

This is counted cross stitch: use the chart to place your stitches on the Aida fabric.

What else will I need?

Have a small pair of embroidery scissors ready. A suitable embroidery hoop can help keep the fabric tension even.
