QUADS are designed to produce gauge comparable to the equivalent round needle size. Start with the size suggested by your pattern and check a swatch: your yarn, knitting style and stitch pattern still affect tension.
Build the right circular length
A 35cm cable with two 13cm tips makes an approximately 60cm circular; 55cm and 75cm cables make approximately 80cm and 100cm circulars. A 20cm cable is too short for a comfortable conventional circular with these 13cm tips.
Finished length includes both tips and the cable. Cables are sold separately.
Choose a matching cable
The 3.25–5mm options use Small [S] joins; 5.5mm and 6mm use Large [L] joins. Match the connection letter to your cable. Red TWIST cables provide a familiar steel-core option; matching SWIV360 cables add rotating joins. QUADS tips themselves do not contain a swivel mechanism.
What you receive and how to care for it
One pair of 13cm ChiaoGoo QUADS tips in your selected diameter. Cable, tightening key and adapters are sold separately. Secure each join with the correct key before use, check occasionally while knitting and protect the needle points in storage. A rubber gripper can help hold the smooth tip while tightening.

Should I automatically go up a size for square needles?
No automatic change is required. Use the marked size as your starting point, then let your swatch guide any adjustment.
Will any ChiaoGoo cable fit?
Only the matching join fits directly: Small [S] for 3.25–5mm and Large [L] for 5.5–6mm in this range.
Are these a complete circular needle?
No. Each option is one pair of interchangeable tips. Add a compatible cable of a suitable length.
