The machine can sew at up to approximately 1,100 stitches per minute, supporting faster completion of long seams and substantial projects.
Sewing speed remains controlled through the supplied foot controller, allowing the operator to slow down for corners, detail and difficult seam intersections.
Beginners should practise pedal control before attempting maximum speed.
Programmable needle up/down
Set the needle to stop in the down position when pivoting around corners, sewing appliqué or guiding curved seams.
Choose needle-up stopping when removing the project or repositioning the fabric after an ordinary seam.

Top drop-in Class 15 bobbin
Insert the transparent Class 15 bobbin from above beneath the clear bobbin cover.
Follow the marked threading path to bring the bobbin thread into position without removing a separate bobbin case.

Built-in assisted needle threader
Follow the clearly marked upper-thread path and lower the threading mechanism beside the needle.
The threader helps pull the upper thread through the needle eye, reducing strain and speeding up thread changes.
Always raise the needle fully and use the threader only with compatible needle sizes.
Control fabric feeding across different materials
Adjustable presser-foot pressure
Presser-foot pressure affects how firmly the foot holds fabric against the feed system.
Reduce pressure when selected lightweight or delicate fabrics are being stretched or marked unnecessarily.
Increase pressure when additional contact is needed to help feed heavier or less stable material.
Full metal internal frame
The internal metal frame supports the needle mechanism, drive system and principal sewing components.

Fit an appropriate optional darning or free-motion foot before beginning.
Extra-high presser-foot lift
Raise the presser-foot lever beyond its normal position for additional loading clearance.
This helps when positioning thick hems, quilt layers, bag seams and bulky seam intersections beneath the foot.
Extra lift provides clearance only. The machine must still be able to penetrate and feed the complete material assembly safely.
Position stitches for zips, piping and topstitching
Choose left, centre or right needle positions when supported by the selected stitch.

Important information before purchasing
The Singer HD6605C is a computerised domestic sewing machine rather than an industrial machine.
It includes 100 built-in stitches, 215 stitch applications and six automatic one-step buttonhole styles.
Sewing speed is controlled using the supplied foot controller. It does not have a start and stop sewing button.
It includes programmable needle up/down, drop feed, adjustable presser-foot pressure, a built-in needle threader and a top-loading bobbin.
The integrated thread knife is a manual thread cutter. It does not automatically cut the upper and bobbin threads electronically.
