Consider the ballpoint option for knit fabrics. Test the actual fabric because fibre, knit structure and stretch content all affect the best choice.
Routine overlocking
Keep the needle size matched to the sewing thread and material layers. Where the machine uses more than one needle, follow its specified arrangement.

Before you start
- Check the machine’s complete needle system and size range. Choose the point and size for your fabric and thread.
- Switch off and isolate the machine as instructed. Install the needle fully, in the orientation specified by the manual.
- Sew a sample with the intended layers and thread. Check stitch formation and fabric marking before continuing.
B27 / DCx27 is not a universal domestic overlocker needle. Do not substitute another system because the needle size or machine brand appears to match.

Does the pack contain both point types?
No. Choose the point and size you need; the ten-needle pack is supplied in that selected option.
Should every stretch fabric use this ballpoint?
A ballpoint is a useful starting point for knits, but test first. Some stretch fabrics need a different point or special needle within the correct system.
