Which pattern should I choose?

How do I find a pattern for my yarn?
Use the yarn-range finder to see designs written for your specific yarn, including MODE at Rowan, Sirdar Hayfield Baby Blossom and Wool and the Gang ranges. A shared yarn weight is a starting point, not a guarantee of substitution. Fibre, metreage and fabric feel matter, and some designs combine yarns or hold two strands together.
How much yarn and which needles do I need?
Check the pattern's quantity for your chosen size, including each colour, and match the recommended yarn and needle type. Knit and measure a tension swatch before starting. If substituting yarn, compare total metreage as well as ball weight; a different yarn may change the drape, fit and amount needed.
Does the pattern include yarn or the finished item?
