The 5 × 5mm configuration gives you a 10mm overall seam width, with adjustable speed, needle positioning and LED lighting to support everyday sewing.

Understand the 5 × 5mm setup
Five threads, working together.
The two needles and five threads form a safety seam: a separate chainstitch joins the fabric, while the overedge stitch finishes the trimmed edge. Here, 5mm needle spacing plus 5mm overedge width gives a 10mm overall seam.
This wide-seam configuration is useful for garment construction where the pattern and seam allowance call for a five-thread safety stitch. Match your fabric, thread and needle selection to the job, and test the assembled seam before production.
Needle positioning
A built-in needle positioner provides a consistent stopping position as you guide successive sections of the seam.
Differential fabric feed
Adjust the feeding action to suit the material and help manage stretching or gathering as the fabric passes through the machine.

The B9500-70 is the 5 × 5mm wide-seam configuration. For bulky fabrics, coated materials or upholstery, ask us to check your full seam assembly before selecting a machine. A five-thread safety-stitch overlocker is different from a coverstitch machine used for parallel-stitched stretch hems.
