Make every stitch feel right
Choose a needle eye that carries the thread comfortably. Test the hole size and pulling resistance on a scrap of the project fabric. If the thread is being compressed or frayed, move to a suitable larger needle.

Are these blunt cross-stitch needles?
No. They have sharp tips for piercing fabric. Choose rounded tapestry needles when working through existing holes.
