The TQx1 system for button attachment.
TQx1 / 175x1 needles are for industrial button-sewing machines that specify this needle system. Choose 80/12, 90/14 or 100/16 to match the machine’s permitted setup and thread. Supplied in packs of ten, they provide a same-system replacement for button attachment without assuming that every button machine uses the same needle.

Different garment weights
Select the needle size within the machine’s permitted range when moving between materials. The thread must pass freely through the eye without an unnecessarily large fabric hole.
Replacing worn needles
A same-system pack supports routine replacement during repeated button work. If a needle has struck the button, investigate clamp alignment and settings before continuing.

Before you start
- Match TQx1 / 175x1 to your machine manual and select the size for the permitted thread and garment construction.
- Switch off, install the needle in the specified orientation, and set the button clamp according to the instructions.
- Follow the manual’s safe setup check, then sew a sample button on matching layers before starting the garment run.
TQx1 and TQx7 are distinct systems. Their similar names and overlapping sizes do not make them interchangeable.

Does this needle sew buttonholes?
This listing is for button attachment. A buttonhole machine requires the needle system specified for that separate operation.
Are the three sizes mixed in one pack?
No. Select 80/12, 90/14 or 100/16; each pack contains ten needles of the chosen size.
