Is Sirdar Jewelspun made from wool?
No. Original Jewelspun Aran is 100% acrylic. If you want wool in the blend, choose the separate Jewelspun With Wool Chunky range, which is thicker and uses different tools and patterns.
What does self-striping mean?
The yarn changes colour along the strand, so stripes and blended colour sections appear as you work. You do not need to join a new ball for every colour change.
Can I use Jewelspun for both knitting and crochet?
Yes. Sirdar recommends 5mm needles or a 5mm crochet hook as the starting point for this Aran-weight yarn.
Is Jewelspun suitable for beginners?
