Moving between materials
Choose Jeans for firm woven cloth, Microtex for precise work in fine or dense weaves, and Stretch for elastic knitted fabric.
Adding visible detail
The Topstitch needle gives suitable decorative thread more room. Sample the thread and fabric together before sewing a prominent seam.

Before you start
- Check that your machine accepts the relevant household needle type, then choose by fabric and thread.
- Switch off the machine and fit the selected needle as its manual directs.
- Sew a representative scrap, including any layers, before starting the finished project.
Return unused needles to their marked positions. This makes the types easy to identify and keeps a fine Microtex point separate from a Stretch needle.

Is this ten Universal needles?
No. It combines Universal, Jeans, Microtex, Stretch and Topstitch needles in the quantities listed above.
Does the set include a leather needle?
No. For leather requiring a cutting point, choose a dedicated leather needle that suits the machine and material.
