Advanced embroiderers
Combine, resize, shape, recolour and precisely position large designs with projection, scanning and an expansive screen.
The PFAFF creative icon 2 is a flagship creative studio built around visible precision. Its projector places stitch previews, grids and embroidery guidance on the actual fabric. Its camera scans the hooped project onto the screen. Add the immense 360 x 350mm hoop, Enhanced Original IDT and a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and ambitious work becomes a guided, connected process rather than a leap of faith.
Projection • Camera • 360 x 350mm hoop
The creative icon 2 belongs in a serious creative space. It is designed for people who want large-format embroidery, exact visual placement, exceptional quilting room and deep stitch control—and who will genuinely use the technology that makes those things easier.
Combine, resize, shape, recolour and precisely position large designs with projection, scanning and an expansive screen.
Use 310mm of space, powered dual feed, projected guides, the included quarter-inch foot and four free-motion modes.
Construct with premium PFAFF feeding, then preview and place statement embroidery exactly where the design belongs.
Large hoops, repeatable placement, connected transfer and a broad design library suit high-value personalisation and small runs.
Projection, camera scanning, AI foot recognition, connected software and voice-assistant capability bring digital planning into the room.
Optional embellishment, specialty hoop, metal hoop and multi-function control accessories leave genuine room to expand.
These official images show the scale, connectivity and project range that separate the creative icon 2 from an ordinary combination machine.

The 360 x 350mm Grand Dream Hoop is supplied with the machine, giving broad designs room to develop in one hooping.

Move compatible designs between the machine and supported CREATIVATE software, cloud and mobile tools.

Use built-in or compatible imported designs to place repeatable quilting and decorative work in the hoop.

Explore utility, quilting, Maxi, ribbon, floating, radiant, stacking and lace-edge stitch techniques.

The 310 x 140mm opening and Enhanced Original IDT support piecing, quilting and binding on a flagship scale.
Each technology solves a different part of the creative process. The projector answers “where will it stitch?”. The camera answers “where is my fabric, seam or existing motif?”. AI recognition answers “is this included foot right for the selected stitch?”. Together they reduce setup uncertainty while leaving the creative decisions in your hands.
The projector changes alignment from an on-screen estimate into a visible reference at the needle. Use it in sewing mode to preview a selected stitch or overlay adjustable grids and angled guidelines. In embroidery, project the selected part of a design onto the hooped fabric and use precise positioning for fine alignment.
The built-in camera scans the hooped fabric and displays that image as a background in embroidery mode. You can position the design against real seams, prints, marks and earlier stitching, then use precise positioning for point-to-point alignment.
See the fabric, markings and existing work beneath the design on screen.
Judge how thread choices will sit against the actual project background.
Use real reference points to continue borders and larger compositions.
Choose a design point and align it to the corresponding place on the fabric.

The creative icon 2 is built to sew at the highest PFAFF level. Enhanced Original IDT has its own power source and a sensor that helps manage engagement, while ActivStitch regulates top-thread delivery for balanced results with suitable threads and techniques.
Utility, quilting, decorative, monogram, Maxi and seven exclusive PFAFF technique groups.
Build lettering and sequences directly in sewing mode after current software updates.
Create a new 9mm stitch or edit individual points in a built-in stitch.
Set the required number of stitch repetitions instead of counting each pattern manually.
Choose the setting that matches compatible floating, spring, ruler and Dynamic Spring feet.
Hold more thread and reduce interruptions during long sewing or embroidery sessions.
Needle threading, thread snips, foot lift, feed-dog drop, needle up/down and separate bobbin winding.
Bright, even lighting, high electronic piercing power and an engineered base support controlled sewing.
Unlike machines that quote their largest supported area using an optional purchase, the creative icon 2 includes its 360 x 350mm creative Grand Dream Hoop as standard.
For monograms, quilt labels, small motifs and projects that benefit from compact hooping.
A versatile everyday field for garments, blocks, bags and layered compositions.
A generous format for wide motifs, borders, panels and substantial decorative work.
The full maximum embroidery area for large designs and statement work in one hooping.

The creative icon 2 is a CREATIVATE-enabled machine. Older product pages, firmware and screens may still say mySewnet; CREATIVATE confirms those enabled machines continue to work with its memberships and connected features.

The optional motorised creative Embellishment Attachment opens an unusual category of dimensional embroidery. It rotates as the machine stitches to guide suitable ribbon, yarn, cord or bead strings around curves and through complex paths.
This attachment is a reason to choose the creative icon 2 if experimental surface design belongs in your future—but it should never be presented as part of the standard carton. The optional Multi-Function Foot Control, specialty hoops and luxe transport cases are also separate unless a current Direct Sewing promotion explicitly includes them.
The creative expression 750 offers a newer, more compact route into premium PFAFF sewing and embroidery. The creative icon 2 is the choice when projector placement, maximum workspace, the full-size included hoop and the deepest flagship platform justify the extra scale and investment.

Contact Direct SewingIt is PFAFF's flagship computerised domestic sewing, quilting and embroidery machine. It combines a 310mm sewing space, Enhanced Original IDT and 806 stitches with projection, camera-based hoop scanning, 873 embroidery designs and four included hoops.
In sewing mode it can project the selected stitch, adjustable guidelines and grids onto the fabric. In embroidery mode it can project a selected portion of the design onto the hooped project to help with placement and matching.
The camera scans the hooped fabric and displays the result as a background on the touchscreen. You can then position the embroidery against real seams, prints, marks or earlier stitching.
No. The camera brings an image of the hooped fabric onto the screen. The projector puts visible stitches, grids, guides or embroidery placement information onto the physical fabric. The two systems complement one another.
The maximum embroidery area is 360 x 350mm using the creative Grand Dream Hoop. That hoop is included with the creative icon 2 as part of PFAFF's standard package.
Four hoops are included: creative Grand Dream 360 x 350mm, creative Supreme 360 x 260mm, creative Elite 260 x 200mm and creative 120 Square 120 x 120mm, plus 16 hoop clips.
The machine includes 873 embroidery designs and eight embroidery fonts. The supplied sampler book helps you browse the built-in collection and the techniques represented.
Yes. Compatible multi-format designs can be transferred by USB or supported CREATIVATE workflows. The design still needs to use a supported format and fit the selected hoop and embroidery field.
PFAFF lists a complimentary PC/Mac embroidery-software download with the standard package, but software names, tiers and activation entitlements can change. Confirm the current NZ entitlement before promising full digitising functions or a paid membership period.
Precise positioning lets you align a selected point in the embroidery design to a selected point on the project. It is valuable for matching a seam, continuing a border or aligning multiple hoopings.
Yes. Automatic jump-stitch trimming is available for compatible embroidery designs and settings. Some specialty techniques or design files can still require manual thread handling.
ActivStitch uses sensors and machine settings to regulate the amount of top thread delivered as stitches form. It is especially helpful with suitable decorative and specialty threads, but correct threading, needle, bobbin, stabiliser and testing still matter.
It is PFAFF's integrated dual-feed system with its own power source. With a compatible IDT foot engaged, it coordinates fabric movement from above with the feed teeth below. A sensor helps advise when the system should be engaged or disengaged.
The current creative-line specification lists 806 sewing stitches and six sewing fonts with current software. Some older regional product tables still display two fonts; keep the machine firmware current before comparing the menus.
Stitch Creator lets you create a new 9mm sewing stitch or edit individual points in a built-in stitch. It is for sewing-machine stitches; it is different from digitising a hooped embroidery file.
Stitch Repeat lets you set how many times a stitch pattern will sew so the result fits a planned space. It removes the need to count every completed repeat manually.
The machine can identify included presser feet, advise whether the attached foot is compatible with the selected stitch and warn if the foot is attached incorrectly. Do not assume every optional or third-party foot will be recognised.
Yes, through compatible connected voice-assistant services and devices. It requires Wi-Fi, account/app setup, a supported language and regional service availability. The machine does not depend on voice control for normal sewing or embroidery.
The connected ecosystem is now marketed as CREATIVATE. The creative icon 2 and its older documentation may still show mySewnet branding, but CREATIVATE confirms that mySewnet-enabled machines remain compatible with current CREATIVATE memberships and features.
No paid subscription is needed for ordinary machine operation or the built-in designs. CREATIVATE offers a free account level plus paid memberships and software options that unlock additional library content and tools. Current plans can change.
Yes. USB provides an alternative route for compatible design files and the official firmware-update process. Connected cloud, app and voice features require the relevant Wi-Fi service.
No. The motorised creative Embellishment Attachment is a compatible optional accessory. It can guide suitable beads, ribbon, cord or yarn while the machine stitches, but it must be purchased separately unless a promotion explicitly includes it.
PFAFF's standard package lists the regular foot control. The programmable Multi-Function Foot Control is a separate compatible accessory unless the current Direct Sewing offer explicitly includes it.
Yes. It has a 310 x 140mm sewing opening, Enhanced Original IDT, projected grids and guides, 37 needle positions, four free-motion modes, a quarter-inch foot, straight-stitch plate and electronic knee lift.
Yes. Choose the machine's free-motion setting that matches the attached compatible floating, spring, ruler or Dynamic Spring foot. Disengage IDT and follow the screen/manual guidance for the selected setup.
Yes. It has automatic needle threading and Auto Snip for cutting top and bobbin threads in suitable sewing and embroidery situations. Specialty techniques may still require manual handling.
Yes. The separate bobbin-winding motor allows winding from a second spool without unthreading the needle setup. Follow the correct path and bobbin type shown in the manual.
It can handle many suitable domestic denim, canvas and bag-making projects with the correct needle, thread, foot and speed. Support the work and never force dense transitions. Very heavy continuous production requires an appropriate industrial machine.
It is a powerful premium domestic platform for carefully planned custom work and small runs. Output depends on design quality, hooping, stabilising, workflow and maintenance. For continuous production, compare a dedicated multi-needle or commercial embroidery system.
The machine body is approximately 590 x 220 x 400mm and 14.5kg; the embroidery unit is approximately 4.1kg. Allow considerably more table area for the attached unit and moving Grand Dream Hoop.
PFAFF releases firmware updates that can improve features and compatibility. Use the official support page and follow the Wi-Fi or USB procedure carefully. Do not interrupt power while an update is installing.
Absolutely. A flagship demonstration lets you experience projection, hoop scanning, precise positioning, the large screen, IDT, ActivStitch and the embroidery unit, then discuss training, delivery, the exact NZ package and support with Direct Sewing.
Choose the creative icon 2 when visible precision, maximum PFAFF space and a complete large-hoop embroidery platform are not luxuries—they are how you want to create.
