PFAFF Invisible Zip Foot 820474096

$79.00

A concealed zip. A clean finish.

Give dresses, skirts and blouses a neatly finished opening with the PFAFF Invisible Zip Foot. Designed for concealed zips, its underside grooves guide the zipper coil beside the needle so you can stitch close to the teeth and let the zip disappear into the seam.

Whether you are making a fitted dress or replacing a zip in a favourite garment, the dedicated grooves help you sew each side with more control. Use the matching groove for each zipper tape, then change to a regular zipper foot to finish the seam below the opening.

Why use an invisible zip foot?

  • Two underside grooves guide the coil as you sew either side of the zip.
  • Helps position the stitching close to the coil for a discreet closure.
  • Useful for concealed zips in dresses, skirts, blouses and other dressmaking projects.
  • Supplied as one presser foot. Part number 820474096.

Getting started

  1. Fit the foot, select a straight stitch with the needle centred, and start with a stitch length of 2.5–3.0mm. Check needle clearance by turning the handwheel slowly.
  2. Open the invisible zip and gently roll the coil aside with your fingers. Align the tape with the garment opening and place the coil in the appropriate groove.
  3. Sew from the top down on each side, keeping the zipper tapes level. Test the closure before finishing the seam below it with a regular zipper foot.
