OLFA heat-welds three layers to create a durable mat with a softer self-healing surface over a supportive centre. Normal cutting lines close back together, helping the surface stay smoother and helping rotary blades maintain their edge.

A little care protects a large investment
Keep the mat flat, cool and ready to cut
Self-healing does not mean heat-proof or warp-proof. OLFA states that a warped mat cannot be flattened again, so correct storage is essential.
- Store the mat flat and never roll it.
- Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Do not leave it in a hot or cold vehicle.
- Never iron on the mat or place hot tools on it.
- Clean with mild detergent on a soft, damp cloth.
- Move repeated cuts around the surface to prevent permanent grooves.
- Use a lint roller, strong tape or art gum eraser to lift trapped fibres.
- Keep pins, needles and loose objects clear of the blade path.
