Do not confuse this with Madeira Classic Rayon 40. “Classic” is the name of this eight-colour metallic assortment. Article 8012 contains Metallic 40 Brilliant and Metallic 40 Smooth threads—not standard viscose rayon embroidery thread.

A soft viscose core and metallised polyester create traditional metallic brilliance. The pure-silver metallisation gives the gold, copper and aluminium shades a rich, elegant sheen.
Metallic 40 Smooth · three spools
A polyester-based twist construction gives Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald a smoother, more flexible character while retaining a clear metallic surface.

Madeira recommends its Metallic needle NM 90/14, article 9451, for Metallic 40 embroidery threads.
Check the thread path
Position the Snapspool correctly and make sure the thread feeds freely without catches, sharp bends or added drag.
Stabilise the design
Match the stabiliser and bobbin thread to the fabric, design density and intended use of the finished piece.
Test each construction
Run a complete sample at moderate speed, particularly when the design changes between Brilliant and Smooth spools.
Care for the complete project. Follow the thread packaging and use the lowest care limit among the Brilliant or Smooth thread, fabric, stabiliser, bobbin thread and trims.
