Let your knitting turn without winding up the cable
Build the circular needle your project needs with a strong, flexible teal cable and smooth 360° rotating connections. The swivel lets attached tips rotate as you work, helping release built-up twist instead of forcing the whole project to turn.
Choose one finished length from 40cm to 150cm.
360° swivel connectors allow the tips to rotate independently of the cable.
Nylon-coated stainless steel core combines flexibility with dependable support.
Two end caps and one cable key are included with every selected cable.
Select one length and receive one complete cable pack
This is an individual cable listing with seven length options. It is not a seven-cable set, and needle tips are sold separately.
Example: select 80cm
You receive one 56cm bare teal swivel cable designed to create an approximately 80cm circular needle when standard 13cm interchangeable tips are attached.
The package also includes two end caps and one cable key. Needle tips, yarn and pattern are not included.

Plus two caps and one key
The selected option determines the intended finished circular length.
Length labels include the needle tips: a cable labelled 80cm does not measure 80cm by itself. Its bare cable length is 56cm, with the balance supplied by the attached tips.

Finished length is approximate: the exact assembled measurement can vary slightly with the tip style, connector seating and how the flexible cable is measured.
What does the swivel do?
The tip can rotate without turning the whole cable
As your hands move, twist can build through a fixed connection. The Mindful swivel allows rotation at the join so the cable can settle more naturally while you knit.
The cable still screws securely into the interchangeable tip. The rotating movement is built into the connector assembly rather than coming from an untightened thread.
Use the included key: a firm final hand-tighten helps keep the threaded connection secure while knitting.
Match cable and tip length
Short tips for compact rounds, standard tips for longer circulars
40cm and 50cm
10cm special tips
The shorter handhold leaves enough flexible cable for a workable compact circle. Standard 13cm tips are too long for the intended 40cm setup and change the finished length.
60cm to 150cm
13cm standard tips
The published finished-length system from 60cm upward is designed around standard-length tips. Short tips may also attach, but the finished measurement changes.
Threaded system
KnitPro compatibility
Designed for KnitPro interchangeable needle tips, including Mindful, Zing, Symfonie, Ginger, Nova and Karbonz interchangeable ranges.
Choose the cable length and compatible tip diameter required by the project.
Start by hand
Screw each tip onto the cable with the connection held straight. Never force a thread that does not start smoothly.
Use the key
Insert the cable key and give each join a firm final hand-tighten. Do not use pliers.
Check as you knit
Inspect both joins before casting on and retighten by hand if movement develops during a long project.
One cable can support several workflows
Knit in the round, work flat or park a project
Circular knitting
Choose a finished length shorter than the project circumference so stitches can travel comfortably around the needle.
Magic loop
Use a longer flexible cable to create the loops needed for socks, sleeves, hats and other smaller circumferences.
Flat knitting
Work back and forth while the cable supports broad rows and keeps the weight of growing fabric off straight needles.
Project holding
Remove the working tips and attach both end caps to keep live stitches on the cable between sessions.

Frequently asked questions
KnitPro Mindful swivel cable FAQs
Does one purchase include all seven cable lengths?
No. Select one length. You receive one cable in that option, plus two end caps and one cable key.
Does a 40cm option contain a 40cm bare cable?
No. It contains a 20cm bare cable intended to create an approximately 40cm circular needle when two 10cm special tips are attached.
Are needle tips included?
No. Compatible KnitPro interchangeable needle tips are sold separately.
Can I use 13cm tips with the 40cm or 50cm option?
They may share the threaded connection, but the longer rigid tips change the finished length and make compact circular knitting awkward. Use 10cm special tips for the intended 40cm and 50cm setups.
What does the 360° swivel do?
It allows an attached needle tip to rotate at the connection, helping release twist that could otherwise build through the cable as your hands move.
Will the swivel stop every tangle?
No cable can guarantee that. The rotating join helps manage twist, while project handling and yarn movement still affect tangling.
What are the end caps for?
Unscrew the needle tips and attach the caps to both cable ends. They prevent live stitches from sliding off while a project is stored or while the tips are used elsewhere.
What is the cable key for?
The key gives you leverage for a secure final hand-tighten between the cable and needle tip. It also helps loosen the connection when changing parts.
Are these compatible with other KnitPro tip ranges?
Yes. KnitPro states that the Mindful cables work with its interchangeable needle tips, including other standard KnitPro interchangeable ranges.
Which length is best for magic loop?
Many knitters start with an 80cm or 100cm finished length, while a longer cable can provide larger working loops. The best choice depends on the project circumference and your preferred loop size.
Flexible length, secure joins and less built-up twist
Choose the finished length your project needs.
Select one Mindful swivel cable, match it with the correct KnitPro tip length and build a circular needle ready for the next cast-on.
