Karen Kay Buckley · Appliqué Templates
Make templates for the shapes you imagine.
Trace your own appliqué shapes onto Karen Kay Buckley Heat Resistant Template Plastic. The four-sheet pack gives you a reusable template material for prepared-edge appliqué, helping you press a clean outline before stitching.

Your design, your shape
Create custom templates from the shapes in your own pattern. Mark the plastic, cut accurately and keep the original pattern for reference.
A crisp prepared edge
The heat-resistant material supports pressing around a template. Use a dry iron at a medium setting, as specified by the supplier.
Reusable and writable
Both sides accept marking, so you can label shapes or organise repeat pieces. Keep cut templates together for the next block or project.

A useful tip before you begin
Trace the finished shape accurately, then cut the template with separate craft scissors. Add the seam allowance to the fabric, not automatically to the template. Follow your appliqué pattern and test pressing on a small piece first.
Use & care
Let templates cool before handling after pressing. Store flat and protect cut edges from bending; follow the supplied iron instructions.
Good to know
Can I use maximum heat or steam?
Use the supplier’s stated dry, medium setting. Heat resistant does not mean suitable for every iron temperature. Follow the instructions supplied with the sheets.
