Fitting and use
- Use the correct ruler-work foot, needle plate and machine settings. Confirm that any required holder is included.
- Please ask us before ordering for MC11000, MC10000, MC9900, MC9850, MC9700 or MC9500, including editions. Janome references differ, and presser-bar movement must be checked. Machines with a dedicated QR foot or upgraded ruler-work setup need their specified foot.
- Follow the foot instructions for stitch and needle position. With the machine switched off, turn the handwheel slowly to check that the needle clears the foot before sewing.
A simple fitting check
- Find your model. Read the full model name on the front of the machine or its identification label.
- Match the fitting. Top loading means the bobbin drops in from above. Front loading means you open a front cover and remove a bobbin case. Shank means the height of the foot attachment.
- Check the exact part. Match the number above and read any holder, needle plate or version requirements.
