Large 360 × 200mm embroidery field
Stitch substantial designs in one hooping using the included Designer Royal Hoop. This makes the machine well suited to jacket backs, cushions, quilt blocks and coordinated design combinations.
The Husqvarna Viking Designer Topaz 50 combines premium computerised sewing with a generous 360 × 200mm embroidery area, intuitive colour touchscreen control and advanced built-in assistance.
Create large embroidery designs, customise garments, quilt, sew home décor and complete everyday sewing on one capable machine. With 150 built-in embroidery designs and 261 sewing stitches, there is plenty of creative scope from the first project onward.
The Designer Topaz 50 is designed for sewists who want to add professional-looking embroidery without giving up the features of a capable premium sewing machine. Remove the embroidery unit for dressmaking, quilting and general sewing, then attach it when you are ready to personalise your next project.
Stitch substantial designs in one hooping using the included Designer Royal Hoop. This makes the machine well suited to jacket backs, cushions, quilt blocks and coordinated design combinations.
Navigate sewing, embroidery and editing functions on a 3.5-inch colour touchscreen. Designs appear in colour, while Quick Help explains selected icons and functions directly on screen.
Combine, rotate, scale and mirror compatible designs directly on the machine. Completed combinations can be saved to machine memory or a USB embroidery stick.
Position a selected point in the design at a precise point on the fabric. This assists with placement, continuous embroidery and accurately joining larger design arrangements.
Sensor Foot Pressure adapts to fabric thickness for even feeding, while Sensor Foot Pivot raises the foot slightly when the needle is down for easy turning, appliqué and quilting.
Select the fabric type and sewing technique, and the machine recommends or sets the stitch, width, length, tension, speed, presser-foot pressure, foot and needle information.
The Topaz 50 provides the essential editing and placement tools required to move beyond individual motifs and create more considered embroidery layouts.
With the embroidery unit removed, the Topaz 50 becomes a spacious computerised sewing machine for garments, quilts and home projects. The 250mm area to the right of the needle provides room for bulky and layered work.
Choose between Free Motion Floating and Free Motion Spring Action to suit different free-motion feet and techniques. The feed teeth lower automatically when free-motion sewing is selected.
The Exclusive Sensor System responds to changing fabric thickness, helping feed quilt layers, hems and bulky seam intersections more evenly.
Three LED lights illuminate the needle and sewing area to reduce shadows across detailed sewing and embroidery preparation.
Embroider names, monograms, borders and decorative motifs onto jackets, shirts, children’s clothing and accessories.
Piece quilts using the spacious sewing area, then add embroidery, labels, decorative stitches or free-motion quilting.
Create coordinated cushions, table linen, wall hangings, curtains and other customised interior projects.
Add names, dates and personal design details to towels, blankets, bags and commemorative projects.
