A guide for quilting along seam lines
The Handi Quilter Ditch Ruler is designed for stitch-in-the-ditch quilting: following the seam between pieced sections to define the patchwork without making an additional decorative line the focus. Its reference markings help you position the ruler as you work.
Why choose it?
- Designed for stitch-in-the-ditch ruler work
- Printed reference markings for positioning
- A useful companion to straight and curved quilting rulers
What is included?
One Handi Quilter Ditch Ruler.
Choosing and using your accessory
Use with a compatible ruler foot and appropriate ruler support. Allow for the distance between your needle and the outside of the ruler foot when positioning the guide. Practise on a sample quilt sandwich before beginning your quilt.
When to choose a ditch ruler
Choose this tool when following pieced seam lines is your main task. The ruler guides the foot; accurate stitching still depends on positioning the guide to suit the needle-to-foot offset. For longer decorative lines and crosshatching, see the straight quilting ruler.
