Before you start
- Place the rest flat on your ironing board, away from its edge.
- Check that the iron fits securely on the rest without overhanging dangerously.
- Follow your iron's operating instructions and switch it off when you finish pressing.
Always use on an ironing board. It is not a substitute for a heat-safe pressing surface and does not make it safe to leave a switched-on iron unattended.

Can I put it directly on a wooden table?
The manufacturer's instruction is to always place it on an ironing board. Do not rely on it to protect an ordinary table.
