Groz-Beckert DPx5 / 135x5 GEBEDUR needles bring a titanium-nitride coating to the specified industrial needle system. Choose from four sharp-point sizes for your thread and material combination. The coating helps resist wear at the point and eye, while correct size, point and machine setup remain essential to the finished seam.

Woven-fabric operations
Start with a sample using the actual cloth, layers and interfacing. Inspect for clean stitch formation and avoid a size that leaves unnecessary marking.
Demanding repeat work
Consider GEBEDUR where needle wear is a concern. It provides surface protection but does not remove the need to monitor needle condition during sewing.

Before you start
- Check the machine’s complete needle system and size range. Choose the point and size for your fabric and thread.
- Switch off and isolate the machine as instructed. Install the needle fully, in the orientation specified by the manual.
- Sew a sample with the intended layers and thread. Check stitch formation and fabric marking before continuing.
These are sharp selections, not ballpoint or leather-cutting options. DPx5, DPx17 and DPx35 are different systems; a coating or matching size number does not make them interchangeable.
Good to know
Is this the same as a solid titanium needle?
No. GEBEDUR refers to a titanium-nitride surface coating on the needle, intended to improve resistance to wear.
Can I fit these to any two-needle machine?
No. The exact machine must specify DPx5 and accept the selected size. Two-needle construction alone does not identify a compatible needle system.
