Dotec DPx5 / 135x5 needles are intended for industrial machines that specify this needle system, including suitable plain-sewing, two-needle and buttonhole models. Choose the sharp or ballpoint option for your material, then match the needle size to the thread. Each pack contains ten needles of one selected option.
Supplied as a pack of 10 needles in the selected size and point, not a mixed assortment.

Two-needle operations
Use where the machine calls for individual DPx5 needles. These are separate needles, not a domestic twin needle mounted on one shank.
Buttonhole work
Match the machine’s specified needle system and point before sewing a test buttonhole. Include any interfacing and the same fabric layers as the garment.

Before you start
- Check the machine’s complete needle system and size range. Choose the point and size for your fabric and thread.
- Switch off and isolate the machine as instructed. Install the needle fully, in the orientation specified by the manual.
- Sew a sample with the intended layers and thread. Check stitch formation and fabric marking before continuing.
The sharp option is a cloth-point selection, not an unspecified leather-cutting point. DPx5 should not be exchanged with DBx1 or DPx17 on size alone.
Good to know
Are all sizes offered in both points?
No. Sharp runs from 70/10 to 120/19 in the listed sizes; Ballpoint is offered in 80/12, 90/14, 100/16 and 110/18.
Can I order by machine brand only?
No. Different models from the same manufacturer may use different systems. Check the machine manual or its confirmed replacement-needle specification.
