Is the 5-inch set right for you?
Choose 5-inch for standard circular lengths and a longer grip
- Choose this 7500-C set if you mainly use 60cm or longer circulars and prefer 13cm tips.
- Consider the 4-inch 7400-C set if shorter tips feel better in your hands or small circumferences are a regular priority.
- For a 40cm / 16-inch circular, ChiaoGoo specifies 10cm tips with a 20cm cable; the included 13cm tips are not designed for that combination.
Three steps for a secure connection
Match the join label
Pair Small [S] tips with Small cables and Large [L] tips with Large cables unless using the correct adapter.
Thread together by hand
Screw the tip and cable together cleanly, taking care not to cross-thread or force the metal connection.
Tighten with the key
Place a T-key through the lifeline hole for leverage and give the tip a secure final hand-tightening before knitting.

Which metric tip sizes are included?
The included sizes are 2.75, 3.25, 3.5, 3.75, 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 8, 9 and 10mm. The Complete set does not include 3, 7 or 7.5mm tips.
What do Small [S] and Large [L] mean?
They identify the threaded connection size. The 2.75–5mm tips use Small [S] cables; the 5.5–10mm tips use Large [L] cables. Match the labels before connecting parts.
Which cable lengths are included?
The set contains 35, 55 and 75cm cables in both Small and Large joins—six cables total. With the 13cm tips attached, they make approximately 60, 80 and 100cm circular needles.
Can this 5-inch set make a 40cm / 16-inch circular?
No. ChiaoGoo specifies 10cm / 4-inch tips with a 20cm cable for an approximately 40cm circular. The shortest included combination in this 13cm-tip set is approximately 60cm.
Is the 5-inch or 4-inch Complete set better?
Choose based on hand comfort and project type. The 13cm / 5-inch set suits standard 60cm-and-longer circulars and provides a longer grip. The 10cm / 4-inch set is better suited to shorter circular combinations and knitters who prefer shorter tips.
Are TWIST and SPIN components compatible?
ChiaoGoo says TWIST and SPIN tips, cables and accessories are switchable when the connection size matches. Always match MINI [M], Small [S] or Large [L], or use the correct purpose-made adapter.
How do the lifeline holes work?
Thread waste yarn through the lifeline hole before knitting across the row so the cable carries it through the live stitches. The same hole accepts the T-shaped key for tightening the connection.
Can I use the set for Magic Loop?
Yes. The flexible 80cm and 100cm assembled circulars can be used for Magic Loop when the chosen length suits your technique and project.
Are ChiaoGoo stainless-steel tips nickel-free?
