Keep spare ChiaoGoo tightening keys with your needles and project bags. Choose MINI [M] or Small/Large [S/L] to suit the connection you use.

Secure the join before you knit
- Screw the compatible tip and cable together by hand, keeping the threads straight.
- Insert the correct key into the hole in the metal connector. Use it as a handle while holding the tip to secure the join.
- Remove the key and check the connection before knitting. Check it again occasionally as you work.
A rubber gripper can help you hold a smooth tip. Tighten securely without forcing the threads or using pliers.

Questions before you choose
Which pack fits my needle?
Choose by the connection marking and hole size, not needle diameter alone. Shorties and other specialist tip ranges can use a different join from standard tips of the same diameter.
Will the Small/Large key fit MINI holes?
Choose the MINI pack for fine MINI holes. Do not force a thicker key into a smaller hole.
Does the key stay in the cable?
No. Remove it after tightening and keep it safely in your needle case or notions pouch.
