Dotec SGx7713 needles are intended for compatible carpet-overlocking machines, with size choices of 200/25 and 230/26. Choose the size that matches your machine, edging thread and carpet construction. These are specialist replacement needles, so confirm the complete needle specification rather than selecting by appearance or thickness alone.

Thread and size matching
Choose a needle size that works with the intended edging thread and the machine’s permitted range. A larger size is not automatically the better choice.
Service replacements
Retain the labelled packet and record the successful setup. If the machine needs a particular point suffix, confirm it before ordering a replacement.

Before you start
- Check the machine’s complete needle system and size range. Choose the point and size for your fabric and thread.
- Switch off and isolate the machine as instructed. Install the needle fully, in the orientation specified by the manual.
- Sew a sample with the intended layers and thread. Check stitch formation and fabric marking before continuing.
Carpet-overlocker needles are not general-purpose garment overlocker needles. SGx7713 can have different point forms; confirm the point required for your machine and material before purchase.

Will these fit any machine used on carpet?
No. The machine must specify the matching needle system. Carpet work includes different machines and operations with different needle requirements.
What if my needle has an extra suffix?
Check it before ordering. Extra letters can identify a point or construction variant; do not disregard them because the main system number looks similar.
