The Bohin tracing chalk wheel rolls a line of powdered chalk onto fabric for cutting, fitting and sewing preparation. It is useful when you prefer to follow a pattern with a wheel rather than keep sharpening the edge of a chalk slab.
Follow the line without dragging the fabric
Use the wheel along a straight edge or guide it around a curve with the fabric supported flat. The chalk colour should stand out against the material, particularly where a printed fabric changes from light to dark. A short trial tells you how much pressure gives a readable line.
