Cotton for warmer-weather makes
The One Cotton is a DK blend of cotton, linen and Tencel. Shiny Happy Cotton is a thicker Aran/worsted-weight pure cotton. Choose the yarn named in your pattern; their different weights and fibre combinations affect gauge, drape and required quantities.
Soft merino or a mohair halo?
Alpachino Merino blends merino and baby alpaca in a chunky yarn. Twist uses the same fibre blend with a marled colour effect. Take Care Mohair is an airy Aran/worsted blend with a pronounced halo, so simple stitches can look very different from those in a smooth yarn.
Lil' Crazy Sexy Wool versus Crazy Sexy Wool
Lil' Crazy Sexy Wool is chunky; the original Crazy Sexy Wool is super chunky. The current solid-colour ranges are pure wool, but the difference in scale is significant. Check ball size, metreage and gauge before using one in place of the other.
