Choosing wax braid and hand sewing thread
Coats Classic: waxed polyester braid for hand sewing and lacing leather goods. The current listings are 1.0mm / 500m, 1.2mm / 350m, 1.6mm / 350m and 1.8mm / 300m. Check the selected product for colour options.
AMANN Serabraid T90: braided continuous-filament polyester with the waxed finish for hand sewing. The store's 1.0mm option corresponds to article 1000 T90, Tex 600; its 1.2mm option corresponds to article 1200 T90, Tex 890. Both are listed on 500m rolls. These thickness labels follow the store's product options.
Read the finish and size together: T90 identifies Serabraid's waxed hand-sewing finish. It does not mean Tex 90. Serabraid T60 is a different finish. Check the exact product specifications before selecting needles and tools; a machine-needle recommendation for T60 should not be applied to T90.
