Sew-on, non-sew or hand-fitted snaps?
Sew-on snaps attach through fixing holes with stitches. Non-sew snaps fit through the material and may need a specific setter. Bohin Finger Snaps and ByAnnie Tool-Free Snaps are separate hand-fitted systems; prepare the fabric as their instructions direct. Hemline heavy-duty jeans studs are opening press snaps, rather than fixed jeans buttons.
Match the fastener to the correct tool
Match the brand, series, diameter and specified tool. Hemline 405-series 15mm jeans studs use the Hemline 406 kit; this is not the setter for 440/445 fashion snaps. Prym inserts must match the stated fastener family and VARIO tool. Die and insert sets are fitting parts, not complete presses or packs of snaps.
